Our first ScrapSketch Blog Hop is here!

Our first ScrapSketch Blog Hop begins at noon today, 8/21, but since I'll be at work then, I'm posting this a little ahead of time.

For this Blog Hop, we went back in time a little and chose one of the first 20 sketches posted on ScrapSketch. I chose Sketch #15 because I loved the clean lines on this, and the arrangement of the two vertical photos.

This sketch worked perfectly for these two photos of my daughter and her new baby girl. Little Gracie is truly her Mommy's bundle of Joy (and grandma's, too!).

And if you'd rather make cards than scrapbook pages, don't forget that sketches can be adapted to smaller sizes to fit cards, too. (and cards are a great way to use up your scraps!) The Autumn card below is based on this sketch.

Of course, you can't have a Blog Hop without some prizes. If you make a layout or card based on this sketch, and post a link to your creation on this blog post, you'll be entered into a random drawing for a cool RAK (some Thickers, a little bling, some chipboard, etc.) You have until noon EST on Monday, 8/24/09 to post your creation here. Check back Monday evening to see who won!

And now, on to the next blog - Jackie's Paper Crafts for a look at Jackie Solomon's wonderful work! Hope you enjoy the Blog Hop!
