I've never had a bird feeder before, but this year I bought one and hung it in a tree where I could see it from the windows in my sewing room. It took a couple of days for the birds to find it, but then I started noticed a lot of sparrows, chickadees, robins, and blue jays stopping by for something to eat. After a week or so, though, it seemed like the birdseed was disappearing awfully fast. I'd fill up the birdfeeder and it would be empty by the next evening. Then one afternoon I happened to catch this little guy in the act of raiding my birdfeeder, so I had to grab my camera and take some pictures.

I guess if a squirrel is desperate enough to hang upside down from a birdfeeder, then he deserves a reward....so I'll just keep feeding the birds AND the squirrels!

ScrapSketch DT Layouts

A few weeks ago I tried out for the DT at ScrapSketch & made it!

My first assignment was to create layouts based from Stephanie's Sketch #69 and #70. What fun!

I used some photos from DD's baby shower for Sketch #69 and a photo of my sister and her oldest daughter for Sketch #70.

If you like working with scrapbook sketches, check out Stephanie's sketch site at http://www.scrapsketch.blogspot.com/. She has some great sketches !

I've been taking an on-line class with Christy Tomlinson called "Eye for Design: Color Creative". She talks about various places to get color inspirations, and how to combine textures and styles on your pages. I have to admit, it's got me looking at things a little differently. These three pages were done for the first three color combination challenges. It's a fun class!

I don't do a lot of pages with circles....more of a straight line/90 degree angle person here....but I did these two recently. Gotta love the Cricut for cutting those big circles! The "Got Slime" layout is my DD @ Univesal Studios in 1992, when Double Dare was one of her favorite TV shows. The other page is DD, DH and I on the whitewater raft ride @ Dollywood a few years ago. DS was smart - he didn't ride it 'cause he didn't want to get wet!
