Fantabulous Cricut - April Showers Challenge

This week's challenge at was to make a project that had something to do with rain or water. I chose to make a little wallhanging using A Child's Year.

The girl with the umbrella was cut from blue cardstock, at 6", then I added yellow cardstock underneath so I really used the negative part of the image. I cut the scallop square from yellow cardstock at 8", and then trimmed the outside to get a 9.5" square frame for the image. Everything was backed with chipboard and then I just added some penwork, the stamped sentiment, and some b&w ribbon.

Here's a closeup view, so you can see the stamped sentiment and the "raindrops" added to the image. The stamp is from Back Porch Memories, and the I used Glass Effects Gel to make the little raindrops.
