Then head over to Dirty Scraps to find the page theme, and finally hop over to Scrap Fit to get the "recipe" requirements for your page. And of course, there is a chance for a prize at each blog!

Sassy Lil Sketches - February card sketch
The first card sketch has been posted over at Sassy Lil Sketches. Here's the sketch:

And here are my cards based on the sketch. I used my Cricut for the flower, star, and "you rock" sentiment, and used the iTop brad maker for the flower center. (I love that tool!)

Hope you'll check out the Sassy Lil Sketches site!

Project 12 - January 2010
Scrapbook & Cards Today has come up with a project to capture the year in photos/scrapbook pages, one month at a time. It's called Project 12, and the idea is to create a two-page layout each month to show what happened during the month. Granted, some months might be a bit humdrum, but don't we still want to capture those everyday moments? And to make it easier, Becky Fleck is providing a page sketch each month for inspiration.
Here's my page spread for January. No special events this month, just photos of everyday moments with family and friends. Those times are too often overlooked.

Building Pages class
We just finished week one of Debbie Hodges' online class "Building Pages". The lessons this week had to do with blocked designs, utilizing the golden rectangle theory, and using white space on your pages. It's really interesting to see how these graphic design concepts work in scrapbooking.
Here are the pages I've done for the class this week:

New ScrapSketch posted this week!
Stephanie posted three new sketches over at Scrapsketch.com. I chose to work with sketch #5, which worked perfectly for these photos of Gracie when she was a little over two weeks old. If she follows in her parents' footsteps and goes to UC, she should be a member of the Class of 2030 (or thereabouts, anyway). Wonder what tuition will be by then?
