Using fringe and tassels on your pages - Get It Scrapped

Today's article @ Get It Scrapped is all about using fringe and tassels on your scrapbook pages.  These might not be embellishments you think of right away, but they're a great way to add texture and dimension to your projects.

To make the fringed trim on my page, I trimmed one of the finished edges from the red and white striped ribbon, and then pulled some of the threads to make the fringe.  I also took a pre-made burlap flower embellishment and cut and pulled threads to create fringe.  (It's under the star on the bottom right).  Photos are of my sister, nieces and me during our annual Black Friday shopping trip.

Check out the Get It Scrapped site to see all the DT projects - so many great ideas for using tassels and fringe on your pages!

I love how the colors just pop off that page and flatter the photo so much. Nicely done.
