It's a Chipboard Challenge @ Frosted Designs

A new challenge is up at Frosted Designs, and it's a challenge to use chipboard on your project.  I have a lot of chipboard pieces in my stash, but rarely use them, so this was a good challenge for me.  I used several white chipboard flourish pieces on my page.  The chipboard surface was a little slick, so I sanded it lightly, inked it with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and then applied some Antique Linen Distress Stickles.  Once that dried, I still thought the pieces needed something else, so I stamped them with a crackle stamp, using Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

In keeping with the vintage theme, I used an old key, velvet ribbon, and some old style alphabet stickers for the title.  The brown glassine envelope holds a layered journaling tag.  We had only lived in our house about two years when one Saturday an unfamiliar car pulled in the driveway and an elderly lady got out.  She told us that her father built the house in 1939 and she had lived here when she was a young girl.  She was in town to visit friends and wanted to see her old home, so we brought her in and gave her a tour so she could see what changes had been made.  Before she left, she gave us these old photos of the house, when it was just finished.  How nice of her to do that!

We'd love to see your ideas for using chipboard.  Link your project to the Frosted Designs blog for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor, Dragonfly Buzz.
