A Christmas card inspired by Buddy the Elf

One of my favorite Christmas movies is "Elf", with Will Farrell as Buddy the Elf, who comes down from the North Pole to visit New York City.  It's one of the few movies that really makes me laugh!

My card is inspired by one of Buddy's quotes in the movie. I used Microsoft Word to print the quote, coloring in "Christmas" with a green glitter pen.  The diecut frame is from the Cricut Small Talk Frames & Tags cartridge. (doesn't it make you think of candy canes with those stripes?)  I covered the white frame background with icicle glitter glue, and the red striped frame front with candy cane stickles.  The background is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder, and then I just added a bow, button, twine and silver snowflake.

I'm entering this card into these three Christmas challenges:
Jingle Belles - inspired by a favorite Christmas story, movie or TV show
Merry Monday - sparkle, shimmer and shine
Holly Jolly Christmas challenge - show me some glitter

I love how this card looks nice and clean and simple Brenda but in fact there's a whole heap of detail on it! Elf is annual viewing for our family!
