more one layer cards

I thought I would try my hand at a couple more one-layer cards for the AAA Cards and Less Is More combined challenge.

For this one, I stamped the spider web background partially on the grey card, then stamped the spider and sentiment.  I sponged a little purple distress oxide ink around the edges.

On this card, I used a Paper Smooches curved stitched die for the "hill", then sponged green Distress Oxide ink in that area for grass.  The tree, leaves and sentiment were stamped, and then I sponged a little blue Distress Oxide ink in the sky area.  I wasn't sure how the Distress Oxide inks would work on kraft cardstock, but they showed up pretty well.

These are fab! You've packed in so much visual interest, and I'm impressed at how well the D/O inks show up on the coloured bases. Loving that Hallowe'en card even though I'm not keen on spiders LOL. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

The spider is a fun and different card. Good idea to use the die to emboss the hill. I must try that.

Loving these two cards. The web stamped off the edge looks great, and the spider is actually quite cute! :) The kraft base is perfect for an Autumn theme and I love the stitched detail for the hill.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
