Mother's Day layout

This isn't the greatest photo, but it's so rare that I get a photo of my mom, sister, nieces and me together, that I scrapped it anyway. This was Mothers' Day 2008.

The big Knievel jump!

My son and I went to Kings Island for the Robbie Knievel's attempt to break his motorcycle jump distance records. His goal was to jump 24 Coke Zero trucks to break his own record. He only made 23.5, so no new records, but it was still pretty cool! I can't take credit for the photo...my son snapped this one!

Sketch #46 - Sketches by Tamara

This week's sketch from Tamara was a two-pager. Haven't done one of those for awhile, but it inspired me to scrap these photos from my mom's birthday earlier this month. Note to self: Don't ever put 72 candles on a birthday cake again!

BBTB challenge - Walk In My Garden "card" feature

This week's challenge at Bitten by the Bug was to use the card feature on the Walk in my Garden cartridge. I decided to use the image for my title blocks. The "cards" were cut at 2.5", then I inked the edges, inked the flower portion, and added a brad to the flower centers.

These are my nieces waiting for the Santa parade to start. I know it's not traditional Christmas colors, but they are way more into pink and purple clothes than red and green, LOL!

NSD contest at Sketches by Tamara

Tamara has posted both a layout and card sketch for NSD. If you enter a layout or card based on one of the sketches, you have a chance for a gift certificate to Scrap Freak. Cool, huh? Check it out at http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com/

Queen of Hoops

Every year we have a family March Madness NCAA basketball pool. The bet is always the same - a Big Mac and Coke - but we never pay off so it doesn't really matter. This year my daughter won the pool, so she gets a page to celebrate, LOL! (But the important thing is that we two girls just smoked the guys!)
