Four months after the windstorm sent a tree crashing down on our house, the reconstruction is finished! What a relief to be able to get things back in their place and feel organized again!
The last room to be finished was my workroom; last week I finally got all my stuff out of the garage and organized in my new room. Now I'm ready to sew and scrap! We bought several great items at Ikea, and my hubby made a really nice workstation from some drawer units we bought at Pease. I feel so organized now, LOL! Thought I'd share a few pictures with you.
Here's what the house looked like after the storm. The room that was totally smashed was my scrapping/sewing room. We also had part of the tree through the ceiling of the master bedroom, and lots of damage to the chimney and roof. My workroom was the only room that was completely destroyed, though. We were lucky!
Here are some photos of my room now. Had to take the photos while it's still all neat and clean, LOL!
The big storage unit is an Expedit bookcase from Ikea. It holds paper, embellishments, books, photo boxes and more. We had to trim the Cropper Hopper paper holders about 1/4" to get them to fit, but that wasn't hard. This is a really great storage unit for scrapbookers!
The bright baskets came from Hobby Lobby. The large ones hold quilt fabric, while the smaller ones hold stamps, embossing powders, flowers, and some misc. items. The pegboard at my workstation is so handy; I love it!
Thanks for looking! Now I'm off to play in my room for awhile, LOL!
