This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is to create a zoo or animal themed project, using a Cricut cut for the animal(s) on your project. As an added bonus, the DT was given some acrylic stamps from Joys' Life to use on our projects. The stamps were from Joy's "Lots of Pun" stamp set, which goes sooo well with any of the Cricut cartridges with animals. My stamps were "Hi-ppopotamus" and "Bear Hugs". Here are the two cards I made, using animals from Create a Critter, and the "Lots of Pun" stamps.
The Hippo was cut at 3.25" from Create a Critter, and then I added a fabric brad for his nose, and a little pearl to the flower cutout. The lake and grass were also from Create a Critter - lake was cut at 1.25" and the grass at 1" and 1.25". The talk bubble was cut at 1" from Paper Pups, and then the sentiment was stamped inside.
The square card base for the bear was cut from Just Because Cards @ 4". The scallop square is from Zooballoo, also cut at 4". The bear was cut at 3.25" from Create a Critter and the hearts were cut at 1.25" from George & Basic Shapes. I stamped the sentiment on two hearts, then overlapped all the hearts to make a row and added some twine bows at the ends.
We'd love to see your projects this week - be sure to link them to the Fantabulous Cricut blog for a chance at a great prize! And don't forget to check out Joy's website - those "Lots of Pun" stamps are just too cute!
