CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #97

This week's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is to create a project using both chevrons and flowers.  I used an old Stampin' Up set (which is still one of my favorites) to make this little window scene card.

I stamped the window on white cardstock, then cut out the opening and the curtain valance that was part of the original stamp.  I replaced the stamped valance with a narrow pleated strip of chevron paper adhered to the underside of the window frame image.  The birdhouse scene was stamped on white cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blue ink was sponged around the image to look like sky, although it doesn't show up well in the photo.  That image was attached directly to the card, and then the window image was attached with foam squares to add some dimension.  The sentiment (a Technique Tuesday stamp) was stamped on white cardstock, outlined with a light blue Copic marker, and attached with foam adhesive also.
