This week's challenge at Frosted Designs is to create a project using black, white, and just one other color. I chose yellow as my accent color because I love the way it brightens up the page!
The background paper already had portions cut out, so the yellow cardstock showed through. I layered black cardstock and a black newsprint paper behind my photo, which was matted on white cardstock, and then added stitching around the page and two rows of stitching around the photo and mats. I inked a chipboard scallop piece and stamped the title on it, then added a metal sun brad and some little yellow glass dots to some of the background flowers. Usually I match the colors in my papers and cardstock to the colors in the photo, but since there wasn't much color in this photo of DD and DGD at the pool, I thought the yellow captured the feeling of a sunny summer swimming day.
Link up your projects to the Frosted Designs blog for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor,
SpiegelMom. (I love the black ruler washi tape she has for sale!)

Lovely page, great color combo! I really like your background.
Love the yellow with the B/W ( it's what I chose too, lol ) Waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ( fellow DT member ) ♥
