Stenciled - online class - card #1

I'm enrolled in the "Stencilled" class @ Online Card Classes, hoping to learn about using inks and mists and stencils, so I can justifying the ones I have in my stash, LOL!  Here's my first card, using a sponging technique with a stencil, and embossing on vellum.

I used Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks with a star stencil from Crafter's Workshop.  The banners and sentiment are stamps from Technique Tuesday.  The banners were stamped on vellum, then embossed with gold embossing powder, cut out and stitched to the card front.

I'm entering this card in the 4 Crafyt Chicks challenge for this week - to use some "bling" on your project.  I think the shimmery gold embossing powder and gold tinsel cord is "blingy" enough!

Loving the flag and banner on your card. You sure make a clean and simple card look easy! Love the touch of bling too. Thank you so much for sharing you creation with us at 4 Crafty Chicks. Have a great day!
