Love to Scrap Challenge #34 - choose a color scheme

The new challenge is up at Love to Scrap!  This time it's a color challenge; however, you get to choose the color.  Pick a color scheme to use on a project (monochromatic, two color, only warm colors, etc) and tell us what color scheme you chose.  Our sponsors for this challenge are Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet and Fred She Said

I used the "Snowy Mailbox" image by Delicious Doodles for Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet.  My color scheme is neutral + cool colors.  I actually used very little color on this project, just a little dark green for the evergreen trees and a little bit of blue ink sponged around the sky.  Everything else is shades of grey and brown.  Instead of Copics or markers, I used watercolor pencils for a softer look.  I used two different types of Stickles for the snow, so there's a lot of sparkle on the project, even though it doesn't show up so well in the photo.

One really nice thing about digital stamps is the ability to resize them to fit your project, so you're not limited to just using them on cards or scrapbook pages.  I enlarged this image to fit a 4" x 6" opening in this frame, and plan on using it as part of a table grouping of Christmas decorations.

Both our sponsors for this challenge at offering $10 gift certificates to their online stores, so link up your project to the Love to Scrap blog for your chance to win!

I'm also entering this in the Sparkles Christmas challenge to create a winter scene.
