Scrap Our Stash - Challenge #5

This challenge at Scrap Our Stash come from one of my favorite challenges: the Freaky Fast Friday challenge at The Scrap Room.



One additional item for the Scrap Our Stash challenge is to use striped paper.  I used some older Fancy Pants papers for this page, with a photo of my niece, son, and granddaughter on Easter. So rare to get a photo of all three of them without someone making a silly face!

I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at The ScrapRoom and also with the recipe challenge at Cookin' Up Creations.

Here's my layout from the sketch.  I used some of the Echo Park Magical Memories II collection, which are also part of the ScrapRoom kit this month. 

The recipe challenge @ Cookin' Up Creations was to use something for each letter in the word "robin".  I used red - orange - Basic Gray (alphas) - Ink - Neat & Tangled stamps.  I could have used "old photos" for my "O" element, too, because these photos are from 1989.  (I know, I'll never be caught up on scrapping my photos - too many of them, both old and new!)

Scrap Our Stash & The ScrapRoom NSD Challenge

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day, with lots of great challenges posted on scrappy blogs and Facebook groups. Two of my favorite scrappy sites joined together for a challenge:  use a sketch provided by The ScrapRoom and use a recipe/supply list from Scrap Our Stash.   You can see the details here:  http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/2016/05/scrap-our-stash-and-scraproom-team-up.html.

I used sketch #2 for my page, and the supplies from the list I chose were:  stickers, tag, arrow, stencil (the stars), and hearts.   Photos is of my DGD having a blast with silly string at her birthday party last summer. 

 

Word of warning to parents:  make sure to clean up the silly string as soon as possible.  Once it hardens.....it's stuck for life, LOL!
