The images on this card are from Cricut's Hoot 'n Holler cartridge. This cartridge has some really cute owl images and several different sentiments to match.

Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge
Working on some Valentine cards this week. This one was made for two challenges: the Cricut Explore & More Facebook challenge to make a project using only scraps and the Bitten by the Bug challenge to make a Valentine/Heart/Love project.

Freshly Made Sketches - challenge #220
I loved the simplicity of this sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. It's their sketch challenge #220.
Here's my take on the sketch, using some stamps from Technique Tuesday and the Hero Arts pink to red ombre ink pad. I like the way you can use small stamps with the ombre ink pads to get three coordinating but different hues. The sentiment was stamped with grey ink for a little softer look since there is so much white and pink on the card. A few tiny rhinestones were added for some sparkle.

Frosted Designs "Love & Hearts" challenge
This month we start our new challenge schedule @ Frosted Designs. We will be offering a challenge every other Friday, so now you will have two full weeks to submit your projects!
Our first February challenge is to create a project using the word "love" and at least one heart image. I used a stamp by Technique Tuesday to create this card, just adding some punched hearts at the bottom and a couple of layers of red patterned paper. To create the two-tone stamped image, I used a small piece of a post-it note to cover the word "love" on the stamp, then inked the stamp with black ink, removed the post-it note mask, and used a red Tombow marker to color the word "love", and stamped the image.

I loved the eye chart stamp, but you could also create something similar using a word processing program and your computer, or even using alphabet stamps or rubons.
We'd love to see your "love & hearts" projects for this challenge. Be sure to link them up to the Frosted Designs blog for a chance at a prize by our sponsor, Boys Rule Kits.
