Today I'm sharing a birthday card made for a couple of challenges. I used a stamp set from The Greetery (Sentiments Squared) that was part of their year-end sale, but one I hadn't used yet.
I stamped HAPPY in dark blue ink, then dried it a bit with a heat gun. I stamped the bottom layer of the word in embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then diecut with the matching dies. The "birthday to you" sentiment was stamped in the same dark blue ink and matted onto gold paper. The background was made with a Sizzix embossing folder of dotted chevrons, trimmed and adhered to a dark blue card. The sentiments were attached with foam tape and I added three gold dot accents.
This card is going to these three challenges:
Can You Handle the Pressure - dry embossing with twist of dots
The Sisterhood of Crafters - use something new
AAA Birthday - anything birthday goes
