First Christmas card of 2018

Time for the first Jingle Belles challenge of 2018!  This challenge is to use something new on a Christmas card - maybe something you received from Santa or something you bought yourself but haven't used yet.

For my card, I used the Penny Black "Trimming the Tree" stamp, which is one I bought right before Christmas but didn't use for this year's cards.  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers, adding some Wink of Stella to the star and ornaments, and shading around the card with Distress ink.

Still need to work on my coloring (one of my goals in 2018), but I think this image is just too cute!  I love joining in the Jingle Belles challenges throughout the year and getting a head start on my Christmas cards!

Marker Pop Challenge #21

Challenge #21 @ Marker Pop is to create a spring or shower card.  Tulips are always a welcome sign of Spring, so I decided to use them on a card.  I used a old black & white digital stamp from PC Hug Club, colored it with Copic markers, and added some Echo Park papers, a bow, and a Hero Arts sentiment stamp.
