Tuesday Morning Sketches #496

Here is the new sketch challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I used a Sunny Studio stamp set and Bella Blvd paper with this sketch to make an Easter card:

The circle frame die is from Scrappin' Desert Divas and the little cloud stencil is from My Favorite Things.

Happy Easter bunny

Another Easter card using a Simon Says Stamp stamp set, along with a flower stamp from Paper Smooches.

The images were colored with Copic markers.  The background die is from PaperTrey Ink, and the patterned paper is from Doodlebug.

I'm entering this in the Cute Card Thursday challenge (celebrate!) and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, using this Easter inspired mood board:

Happy Easter, Chickie!

Started on my Easter cards this week.  This one uses stamps from one of 2017's monthly kits from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the chick and eggs with Copic markers and then mounted them on papers from Doodlebug.

I'm entering this in the Shopping Our Stash challenge to use a bird on your project
and the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, based on the Easter/Spring mood board shown below:

Challenge #49 @ Love to Scrap - Buttons & Bows

Time for our first March challenge at Love to Scrap!  We want to see your project using buttons and bows!  This can be a card, scrapbook page, altered object, mixed media....as long as you include at least one stamped image (rubber or digi) and button(s) and bow(s).

I used the Ducks in a Row image from A Day for Daisies, for this Easter card.  The sentiment is a Cricut diecut, and then I added some ruffled gingham ribbon, a button, and a twine bow.  The digi image was colored with Copic markers, then I used some white flocking powder and crystal Stickles to make the fluffy, sparkly dandelions.

We have three sponsors for this challenge:  A Day for Daisies, Bugaboo Stamps, and Limited Runs Stamps.  Link up your project to the Love to Scrap challenge blog for a chance at the prizes offered by these great sponsors!

I'm also entering this card in these challenges:
Sentimental Sundays (anything goes)
Fantabulous Cricut (St. Patrick's Day or use the color green)
Craft Your Passion (anything goes)

Fusion Challenge #8

I really liked the Fusion challenge this week, both the inspiration photo and the sketch.

I ended up using the sketch option of the challenge for this Easter card.  All the little ovals in the sketch reminded me of Easter eggs, so that was my inspiration for this card.

I used the Tim Holtz spritzer (available here) to make the blue and green mists of color behind my stamped image, and then colored the images with a combination of Spica and Wink of Stella glitter markers.  Stamps are from Stampendous.  The Fusion challenge is open until April 22nd, so you have time to play along!

Cas-ual Fridays challenge #95

This week's challenge @ Cas-ual Fridays was to create a card without using any stamps. That had me thinking, but I almost always use stamps on my cards.  But when I saw this cute free printable chocolate bunny (with the bite out of his ear!) poster from Minted Strawberry, I knew it would make the perfect Easter card for this challenge.  I resized the image to fit on a standard 4.25 x 5.5 card, and then I colored over the bunny image with an embossing ink pen and embossed with brown Zing embossing powder, just to make the bunny look a little more "chocolatey".  I added a pink scalloped rectangle background, some stitching, and a twine bow and button.
