Let's see some "love"-ly projects @ Love to Scrap!

Our first Love to Scrap challenge for February is perfect for this month  - we want to see the word "love" somewhere on your project, along with a stamped image of some kind (digi images are okay).

We have two sponsors for this challenge, A Day for Daisies and QKR Stampede.  I worked with the "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" image from A Day for Daisies and came up with this card.

I colored the image with Copic markers and then framed it with a diecut and embossed oval frame.  (The "love" stamp is from AJillian Vance Designs.)  This image is just so sweet; perfect for a card for a new mother.

Since we have two sponsors for this challenge, you have two chances to win!  Just link up your project to the Love to Scrap challenge blog for a chance to win a gift certificate to  A Day for Daisies or five images of your choice from QKR Stampede!

I'm also entering this card in the Open Minded Crafters "Show some Love" Challenge.

Fusion card challenge #10

I just discovered the Fusion card challenge blog a couple of weeks ago, and finally had a chance to play along with one of their challenges.
The Fusion challenges are twofold - they offer a sketch and an inspiration piece.  You can choose to use just one of the options or you can "fuse" them and use both inspiration pieces, which is what I did on my card.

PP: Bella Blvd; stamp: Technique Tuesday; twine: Martha Stewart

I used the sketch for my card design, and the inspiration for the color scheme and the blue and white stripes from the photo.  I love getting two card inspirations from one challenge!
