Super Hero time!

Made this card today to try out a new (new to me, anyway) product called Glitter Kiss.  It's like a soft glitter paste that you can apply with a sponge or brush or your finger.  I used with an Altenew Warp Speed stencil for the background on this card and it added great sparkle without being messy.

The superhero image and sentiment are from Taylored Expressions.   I'm entering this card in the Sparkle & Shine challenge @ Dream Valley and the Anything but a Square challenge at Addicted to Stamps.

Thankful

This card came about from a foiling project that didn't work out like I planned.   I stamped the background stamp with ink, and then stamped it again with Deco Foil Transfer Gel,, applied some gold foil and ran it through the laminator.  Evidently I didn't have enough gel on the stamp because the foil only adhered in placed.

I really liked the look of the background even if it wasn't what I had expected, so I added a die cut sentiment and some stamped and fussy cut leaves and ended up with this Fall card.   (The die and stamps are from Catherine Pooler)   I'm entering this card into the current challenge at Addicted to Stamps (use Autumn colors) and Crafty Creations Challenges (anything goes)

Edge Stamping

Earlier this week, Jennifer McGuire posted a video on an edge stamping technique to yield two cards at a time.  I wanted to try the technique, and when today's challenges were posted at Splitcoast Stampers, one of them was for edge stamping, so it was perfect timing.

You can see Jennifer McGuire's video here: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/10/edge-stamping-trick.html

Here are my two cards from this technique:

The flower stamp is from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiments are from Avery Elle.  I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored the images with Copic markers and added a few sprinkles of gold mist.

I'm entering these cards into the current challenge at Addicted to Stamps (flowers)

Love you always!

I've had this speech bubble stamp for a long time but this is the first time I've used it.  Playing with the new Catherine Pooler inks (Party Dress, Rockin' Red, and Midnight) on this one, which could really be a Valentine's Day or anniversary card.

After I did the stamping, I thought the card needed a little something else.  Ribbon and a bow didn't work well, so I ended up using this cardstock word from Pretty Little Studio and just adding a tiny bit of bling.

This is for Challenge #226 (Anything Goes) at Addicted to Stamps & More and Challenge #100 (hearts)  at Clean & Simple on Sunday

Love to Scrap Challenge #51 - Dots or Stripes!

Time for our first April challenge at Love to Scrap!  This time, the challenge is to use dots or stripes on your project.

I used the Cartoon Brontosaurus Student image from Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet for this tag.  I did some paper piecing on this, printing the image on white cardstock, green dotted paper, and denim print paper.  Then I added letter stickers for the "A+", glitter punched stars, and a diecut "awesome!".  This tag will go on a little end-of-year gift for my granddaughter when she graduates from kindergarten.

Link up your project to the Love to Scrap challenge blog (and remember to use a rubber, clear or digital stamped image!) for a chance to win a prize from one of our sponsors:

I'm entering this tag into the following challenges:
Craft My Life - anything goes, but not a card
Addicted to Stamps - must use stars
Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog - use paper piecing
