Two smiling girls

Love this photo of my DD and DGD!  Sometimes a certain 5-year old girl doesn't like to cooperate with Grandma and her camera.....but she did smile for this photo with her mom! :)

 

 

I used some stamps and dies from Paper Smooches on this page:  the hearts and sentiment are from the "Needle Little Love" and "FOLKal Points" stamps sets.  The stitching lines on the banner and on the photo border are from the "Stitched" and "Dots & Dashes" dies.  You can see all these items at Paper Smooches.

My Scraps and More April Sketchathon

My Scraps & More is hosting a Sketchathon this month.  There will be daily sketch challenges (but with a twist!) and a great prize at the end of the month.   We'd love to have you join us in the forum and play along!

Here's my layout for the first sketch.  The twist on this one was to use the word "first" or "1st" on your page.  I went back a few years to 1983 for these pictures of my kids on their first plane ride.  I remember my son was so excited because the stewardess pinned some pilot wings on him when we got off the plane!

 

I used some Simple Stories papers and stickers on this one, and some Mr. Huey's mists for the splatters.  I'm entering this page into the March challenge at The Crafty Scrappers,  to use paint or mist on your project.

Another hybrid card for Jingle Belles!

I combined the Jingle Belles hybrid card challenge with a card sketch challenge over at My Scraps & More to come up with this card.  The snowman in the Polaroid frame is a digi stamp from Whimsie Doodles.  I printed it three times, inked and colored different portions and then adhered it back together for some dimension.  I added some Stickles and a stamped sentiment from Mama Elephant.

My Scraps & More - sketch #34

I love the sketches on the My Scraps & More sketch blog, and enjoy using them to get a jump start on page layouts.   Here's my layout using their sketch #34 from last week, and some Bo Bunny "Mamarazzi" papers.  (The photo is my daughter and granddaughter.)  I used some wood veneer embellishments from Studio Calico and stamps from Little Yellow Bicycle for my title.

My Scraps and More - sketch #29

It's been a little while since I played along with the sketch challenges at My Scraps and More, but I made time this weekend to use their latest sketch.  (you can see it here!)

I'm playing along with the scrap your stash challenge this month at My Scraps and More, and my stash I'm trying to use up is the Basic Grey Knee Highs collection, so that's what I used for this page, along with some stickers from Echo Park, a Project Life journaling card, and stamp from Unity.
This photo of my grandson is from November, when he was just barely starting to crawl; he'll be one next month and just started walking - time sure does fly!

Sketch #17 from My Scrap & More

Here is sketch #17 from the My Scraps & More sketch blog.  This one worked well for some photos of my DGD taking advantage of a nicer-than-usual February day and riding her bike.

 

I used some Studio Calico "Here & There" papers for this page - the bicycle print worked perfectly!  The March Sketch-a-Thon at My Scraps & More starts tomorrow, so be sure to check it out for even more great sketch inspiration!
